AMIHAN BEACH RESORT CABANAS (Bantayan Island)

Bantayan Island is one of the islands in Cebu blessed with breathtaking beaches with fine white sand.

It was our first monthsary so we decided to celebrate it in Bantayan. We took the bus via Hagnaya at the North Bus Terminal which is scheduled to leave at 10 in the morning. Despite the 4 to 5 hours journey, we were able to enjoy the refreshing scenery on the way to Hagnaya Port.
After approximately 5 hours, we took the ferry from the port to Bantayan Island and enjoyed the sea view for 1 and a half hours.

Before the ferry docked, we called the resort since they will pick us up at the port for free.
The trip from the Bantayan port to Amihan Resort by tricycle lasted for almost 30 minutes.
When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by fine white sand and this view:

The staff welcomed us and gave us complimentary drinks while they double check our cabana.

We rented the non-aircon cabana which costs P2,700 per night. It has a small refrigerator, bamboo cabinet, drawer, ceiling fan and a hammock outside. The bathroom's water supply is sort of weak.

This was our sanctuary for the trip:

From the porch of the native cabana, you can see some native swing benches and beach chairs facing the far-reaching ocean.

The atmosphere would really help you unwind and forget the busy streets and paperwork.

In addition, their food was great! The staffs are very accommodating and friendly!

What's more, there's a cute little dog at the resort. If you're a dog lover, you would surely enjoy the company of that adorable pup!

Isn't he the cutest? (credits: Y.M.)

The highlight of our stay was really the starry night and the dancing reflection of the city lights. My boyfriend and I spent a few hours sitting on the beach stargazing and singing some songs! We even sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in two languages! :D We also saw a lot of shooting stars which means we get to wish a lot of things!

We weren't able to take a picture of the sky, but it resembles this image:
